Adjunct (part-time) faculty to teach courses in Biology, depending upon program needs and the candidate’s qualifications. Teaching assignments will be on LCC’s downtown Lansing campus. Adjunct faculty are expected to work collaboratively with senior department faculty to develop course content consistent with official course syllabi, to deliver course instruction to students, and to be available for student assistance and advising outside of class. Additional responsibilities may include participation in course assessment, department/program meetings, professional development activities, and other duties as assigned.

Teach courses in the Biology Program, with a focus on non-major Biology courses, consistent with current developments in the discipline and teaching methods. Participate in program/department meetings and divisional/college-wide committees with a focus on continual improvement of programs and learning outcomes. Participate in curriculum and course development, course and program coordination, tutoring and advising students, mentoring and reviewing peers, and actively participates in College initiatives. Must demonstrate a commitment to the diversity of a multi-cultural population, as well as work effectively in a team-based environment, seeking continuous improvement and adherence to the community college philosophy

This course is primarily populated by students planning to continue at MSU in veterinary or other related fields. This course is tentatively scheduled on MW mornings but may be able to change depending on adjunct availability.
